Features of Metal compatible RFID Tags (UHF/HF/NFC)
Our on-metal tags, with integrated RFID chip and antenna, are designed to be read in contact with metal parts. Without any direct contact with metal, we eliminate the negative interference induced by this material.
Near- and far-field readings are possible depending on the frequency used (UHF / HF / NFC) and we adapt the insulating material to the project frequency.
Features:
- Metal-compatible RFID tag
- Customizable
- Chip memory capacity tailored to project requirements
Advantages:
- Several standard formats depending on space on the part to be labeled and on the required reading distance
- Samples available for qualifying performance in real-life conditions
Why choosing our on-metal tags ?
Our RFID on metal tags are designed to minimize metal interference and enable accurate data reading. They are fitted with a foam or insulator that creates a distance between the tag and the metal surface, reducing interference and improving reading performance.
High-frequency (HF) and near-field communications (NFC), using frequency bands of 13.56 MHz, enable reading from close contact up to 50cm away. Specific readers must be used for HF reading, whereas a smartphone is sufficient for NFC reading. One application is contactless payment through a smartphone.
Ultra High Frequency (UHF) communication uses a frequency band between 860 and 960 MHz, enabling reading from close contact to a distance of around 10m. One application is the tracing of metal parts in an industrial warehouse.
